About me
I’m a health litigator who’s an expert in medical law and medical malpractice. I handle clinical negligence claims, and my clients include NHS Resolution, insurers and individuals.
My experience covers GP claims, reconstructive and spinal surgery, cases involving wrongful birth, spinal, and brain injuries, as well as claims relating to defective products which cause injury.
Efficient and detail-orientated, I work hard to achieve the best outcome for my clients, every time. I take an empathetic approach, communicating clearly and offering innovative solutions to help clients navigate a claim from the initial complaint up to trial and achieve a successful resolution.
I’m committed to actively sharing expertise and helping others develop their skills. I regularly present seminars to clients, share legal thought leadership and mentor up and coming lawyers at the firm.
Making a difference is important to me. I’m a member of our Social Mobility and Multicultural networking groups and an ambassador for Aspiring Solicitors, which helps students and graduates, particularly those from diverse or underrepresented backgrounds, enter the legal industry.
My experience
- Achieved a discontinuance in a complex CP claim worth £10 million.
- Achieved a significantly discounted settlement (a reduction of £2 million) in a claim regarding injury to the cystic duct during surgery.
- Used innovative approaches to collaborative working in brain injury claims. Worked on the first case to trial the use of a joint paediatric clinical opinion. The value of the claim is £12.2 million.
- Regularly present to clients such as Interactive Quantum Session for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and Defending Future Claims at the Aesthetics Conference and Exhibition.
- Launched and co-developed a series of animated videos with NHS Resolution.
