About me
I’m a shipping lawyer who helps clients find commercial solutions to challenging circumstances.
I’m committed to providing the best possible service and looking after my clients’ interests. I listen closely, giving the client the space they need to lay out any issues they face and what they want to achieve, and I use this insight to devise strategies they can rely on to deliver results.
I advise on bills of lading and charterparty claims, claims for cargo shortage or cargo damage, marine insurance, international sale and purchase of goods and impact of various trade sanctions.
I’m a true expert when it comes to the carriage of specific types of cargo. This covers those which are prone to self-combustion such as coal and bottom ash, as well as waste cargoes like scrap, along with grain, steel and fertilisers. I’m also highly knowledgeable in respect of sanctions and war risks.
I act for shipowners, charterers, insurers and indemnity clubs. My client base is extensive, and I’m particularly known for acting for clients who are located in, or do business in, Eastern Europe.
I also volunteer for the Rays of Sunshine charity, which supports terminally ill children.
