About me

I advise on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters within the shipping sector, with particular experience in disputes arising under charterparties, bills of lading and contracts of affreightment. I regularly act in London maritime arbitrations and proceedings before the English High Court.

I also have a strong focus on international sanctions and regularly conduct complex due diligence exercises for shipowners, charterers, operators, and brokers. My work includes advising on UK, EU, UN, US and other sanctions regimes and assisting in sanctions-related litigation and investigations.

My approach is to work as part of the client’s team, to gain an understanding of their commercial position and day-to-day challenges. I enjoy solving complex problems alongside great colleagues.

I’ve spent three years of my career working in-house at a Protection and Indemnity club giving me exposure to the service they expect. I’d like them to say that we’re a safe pair of hands for every issue they face and that we offer swift, commercial and accurate guidance.

I previously played classical piano during my school years and continue to value the discipline and focus it instilled – qualities that inform my approach to legal practice.
