About me
I help shipowners, charterers, insurers, managers and general commercial clients navigate matters relating to sanctions and dry shipping, ensuring they achieve their commercial aims.
I deal with various sanctions matters involving sanctions screening, delisting and licence applications, and the design and implementation of in-house sanctions compliance procedures, and I have extensive experience advising on sanctions implications relating to high-risk jurisdictions.
I also advise on dry shipping disputes which arise from charterparties, shipbuilding contracts and other commercial agreements. As part of this, I’ve undertaken secondments with an oil major and two International Group P&I Clubs.
My approach is to gain a deep understanding of a client’s business. This gives me the insight needed to offer a tailored assessment of the implications and risks of any sanctions and provide practical, support to help clients manage their exposure to sanctions and meet their goals.
I’m quick to adapt and often deal with urgent matters as they arise in real time, finding workable solutions that allow clients to continue operations with as little disruption as possible.
