About me
I specialise in contentious wet and dry shipping matters, focusing particularly on those which involve marine casualties and urgent incident response.
I act for a range of stakeholders involved in casualties and shipping disputes including ship owners, charterers, cargo interests, underwriters and salvors.
I provide crucial support every step of the way, from helping clients implement solutions to deal with the immediate issue through to pursuing dispute resolution and recovery.
Before becoming a lawyer, I served as a Royal Navy Deck Officer. This gives me first hand technical expertise that I can use to navigate operational realities and provide tailored, practical support.
I enjoy being part of a team, working hand in hand with clients to provide structured, decisive management of fast‑moving, technically complex situations. I often act in high-stakes incidents, helping clients make confident decisions under pressure, and it’s hugely rewarding to be there for them when it matters most.
Following my time in the Navy, I act as a Volunteer Reservist Officer. I also carry out pro bono work and get involved in the firm’s community initiatives through volunteering.
