We’re pleased to have advised the shareholders of Building Energy Services Group and its subsidiary BMSI, which has become part of Bedrock Systems Group – a new built environment group backed by Stillwater Equity.

Comprised of founding firms BMSI, Econowise and Oak, the group has been launched by Stillwater Equity to provide building management systems, energy efficiency, and power and HVAC services to a diverse client base.

Founded in 1998, previously employee-owned BMSI employs more than 200 people – delivering building management systems from its nine UK office locations.

Within Bedrock, each business will continue to operate under its established brand, with its existing leadership team, customer relationships and technical focus.

Bedrock has been established to support the long-term growth of specialist businesses by providing investment, shared specialist knowledge and operational support across the group, whilst preserving the independence, agility and customer focus that have made these businesses successful.

Looking ahead, Bedrock will continue to invest in high-quality specialist technical services businesses that share its commitment to technical excellence, trusted relationships and outstanding customer service.

Our Corporate team, led by Partner Sean Lightfoot, Legal Director Olivia Jones and Associate Daniel McDonagh, acted as lead legal advisers to BMSI.

BMSI has built a strong reputation in the building management systems market over many years, and its position as a founding member of Bedrock reflects the quality of the business, its people and its client relationships.
