We’re pleased to have supported AIM-listed Braime Group PLC in completing a multimillion-pound deal to acquire two businesses that supply electronic components to the Braime group.

The Leeds-based engineering group has completed the acquisition of the entire issued share capital of Leeds-based Don Electronics Ltd and Synatel Instrumentation Ltd from Donelec Group Ltd.

The acquisition will strengthen Braime’s key supply chain, secure valuable intellectual property in a fast-growing sector and broaden its customer base. The deal will also further strengthen and enhance the Braime group's capabilities to bring new designs to market.

Our Corporate team – Partner Alison Starr, assisted by Associate Hahmiz Butt, Trainee Solicitor Maryska Grant and Paralegal Beth Clapham – acted as lead legal advisors to Braime Group PLC. Transaction support was also provided from our Banking, Employment, Pensions, Tax, Commercial and Real Estate teams.

We are delighted to advise existing client Braime Group PLC on this acquisition, working closely with its Leeds-headquartered management and local advisers to bring two strong businesses together after 40 years of trading together. This showcases our strength in supporting clients on the range of legal and regulatory areas with a commercial outlook and to deliver the deal to timetable.
