We’re pleased to have supported Arete Capital Partners in its latest investment.

Working alongside River Capital, Artete has made a seven-figure investment in Cheshire-headquartered premium chauffeuring provider SCS.

SCS delivers high-end chauffeur services for major airlines, luxury restaurant groups and elite sporting organisations, as well as supporting large-scale fashion and entertainment events.

SCS started in 2018 with a single vehicle and has grown nationally, supported by a core team of 125 full-time chauffeurs and a 25-strong head office function.

The new investment will allow SCS to expand its team, upgrade its operational systems and introduce enhanced technology to support optimised route planning, scheduling and nationwide service delivery.

Our corporate team, led by Partner Matt Noon and Legal Director Alexander Thow, acted as lead legal advisers on the deal.

Supporting Arete on this investment has been another great opportunity to work with a team that recognises the strength and potential of a standout regional business. SCS has built an impressive national platform in a relatively short time, and this investment will enable the business to scale its operations and further enhance the technology underpinning its service delivery. We're pleased to have played a part in facilitating the next stage of SCS’s growth.

Jamie Newall, Investment Director at Artete, said: "SCS is a fantastic North West business and after meeting the team it was immediately clear to us that the quality of service, consistency of product and attention to detail SCS offers is both unique and a clear differentiator amongst its competitors in a growing luxury travel segment.

"Alongside River Capital we look forward to supporting the team at a local level through our shared expertise and networks as they look to expand and invest in the technology that will underpin the company’s next phase of growth further cementing its position as the industry benchmark."
