Hill Dickinson’s Equity Capital Markets team has recently advised Cairn Financial Advisers and Hannam & Partners on a placing and subscription carried out by Helix Exploration plc which raised gross proceeds of £4.5 million from investors. Hannam & Partners acted as sole bookrunner and broker in connection with the fundraise.

The Hill Dickinson team advising on the transaction was led by partner Sam Hudson, with assistance from senior associate Natalia Fryda and solicitor apprentice Millicent Baveystock.

The proceeds from the fundraising will be used by Helix Exploration in order to fund the drilling of a fourth and fifth production well at its Rudyard project as well as providing capital for plant construction, general working capital purposes and for supporting the company’s strategic objectives of entering first helium production by the end of summer 2025 and accelerating project ramp up to full scale production.

This is the second fundraise of 2025 carried out by Helix Exploration and we were delighted to assist with the process. Thank you to Cairn and Hannam & Partners for instructing us on this transaction and congratulations to them on completing this successful fundraise in short order.

“The ECM team at Hill Dickinson has seen a recent uptick in fundraising and other commercial activity amongst our listed client base and we are hopeful that this is a positive sign of things to come in 2025 as London capital markets continue to recover from a prolonged period of low activity.”
