Hill Dickinson advises Harlequin Group on its sale to Telent

Commercial law firm Hill Dickinson has advised the shareholders of Harlequin Group Limited, a specialist technology services company, on the sale of the business to Telent, a technology company specialising in digital infrastructure.

The Harlequin Group was founded in 1993 and began working on the 2G networks developed by Cellnet (O2), Orange (EE) and T-Mobile in the mid-90s. It is now a market leader in the mobile and fixed line sectors, working on site acquisition, town and country planning, community relations, estates management, valuation, technical surveys, civil and electrical design and site build services. Harlequin Group currently operates from offices in Chatham, Bromsgrove and Livingston in Scotland.

Telent designs, delivers and provides support solutions and services which enable organisations to create, improve and operate the ICT and communication networks that their businesses depend on and the Harlequin Group deal is very complementary to its leading role with 5G Private Network applications

Legal advice to the shareholders of Harlequin Group was provided by Hill Dickinson lawyers Ian Riggs, partner and national head of Corporate; James Down, legal director; Graeme Anderson, associate, and Dan Taylor, trainee, of the firm’s Manchester Corporate team. Corporate finance advice was provided to the shareholders by RSM.
