Law firm Hill Dickinson has advised Hercules plc, a leading technology-enabled labour supply company for the UK infrastructure and construction sectors, on the acquisition of the business and assets of Quality Transport Training Ltd (QTT).

The deal is the second M&A transaction on which Hill Dickinson has advised Hercules this year, having previously advised Hercules Site Services, as the company was then known, on the disposal of its suction excavator business in February 2025 and, prior to that, on an £8 million fundraise in September 2024 and the acquisition of Future Build Recruitment Ltd in November 2023.

Staffordshire-based QTT is a midlands based vocational training provider. The company works primarily to support unemployed individuals into work through fully funded training programmes, often in partnership with local authorities, probation services and employers.

The acquisition will increase the capacity of the Hercules Academy in Nuneaton, West Midlands, with all QTT employees being transferred across to help expand the number of courses available and broaden the curriculum of the Academy.

It will also enable Hercules to scale its training operations more quickly to support future projections from the Construction Industry Training Board for a skilled, job-ready workforce to satisfy demand from the UK’s growing infrastructure project pipeline.

Jonathan Morris, partner, Hill Dickinson, led on the provision of legal advice together with senior associate Sara Mullen and associate Danielle Higgins, all of the firm’s Corporate-Commercial team.

We’re delighted to have been entrusted by the management team at Hercules once again with the provision of legal advice on the company’s acquisition of QTT. Having successfully completed the deal to bring these two parties together, their combined experience is set to provide the UK’s construction industry with an excellent resource for the future supply of qualified labour.

Jonathan Morris said: “We’re delighted to have been entrusted by the management team at Hercules once again with the provision of legal advice on the company’s acquisition of QTT. Having successfully completed the deal to bring these two parties together, their combined experience is set to provide the UK’s construction industry with an excellent resource for the future supply of qualified labour.”

Brusk Korkmaz, Chief Executive Officer of Hercules, commented: “The Hercules Academy was established to address the well documented skills shortages facing the infrastructure and construction sectors.

“QTT’s expertise in vocational training will, in particular, add to the fantastic work already being done by the Academy team. This is another important step for Hercules to become one of the UK’s leading providers of skilled labour and training for the infrastructure and construction sectors.

“We are grateful to the Hill Dickinson team for helping us make this acquisition.”
