Law firm Hill Dickinson has advised commercial vehicle provider Motus Vehicle Solutions on the acquisition of Aftercare Response, a division of the Bevan Group.

Headquartered in Derby and part of Motus Group (UK), Motus Vehicle Solutions will use the acquisition to consolidate its position as one of the most comprehensive commercial vehicle service providers in the UK.

Integrating Aftercare Response into the business will strengthen Motus’s customer base and range of specialist services, which include bespoke vehicle conversions, fleet maintenance, tail lift solutions, parts supply and custom truck body building.

Corporate partner Emma Callow led on the provision of legal advice to Motus, together with legal director Matt Smith, associate Alex Bloomer and trainee solicitor Aoife Flanagan. Senior associate Ayesha Parvez advised on the property aspects and partner David Klass advised on related tax matters.

Our relationship with Motus, our client of many years’ standing, has grown over the years as the company has grown. We were delighted, therefore, to act as legal adviser on this latest strategic acquisition to the group. It’s a partnership that makes sound commercial sense and we wish both parties every success as they expand their market reach as an expanded group.
