A nursery group with six facilities spread across the Yorkshire region has been sold to private equity backed operator Kids Planet, its North West counterpart.
Twinkles Nursery Group, founded in 2003, has sites in Leeds city centre, and in the neighbouring towns of Knaresborough, Wetherby and Boston Spa. All are Ofsted rated as ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’.
The group provides a total effective operating capacity for 482 children aged six weeks to five years, with an additional 56 out-of-school places.
Twinkles Group Limited, parent company of the six facilities sold to Kids Planet, was advised by law firm Hill Dickinson’s Manchester Corporate team. Corporate partner Ian Gillis and senior associate Harriet Adgie led on the deal, supported by associates Rebecca Felton, Olivia Jones and Alex Quinn and trainee solicitor Joyce Tai; plus senior associate Jon Pearson-Basudev of the firm’s Property team.
