Hill Dickinson advises Phenna Group on Aquatech acquisition

Law firm Hill Dickinson has advised Phenna Group, a global provider of testing, inspection, certification and compliance (TICC) services, on its acquisition of Aquatech, a West Midlands-based specialist provider of water hygiene, water testing and legionella risk assessment services.

Under the terms of the deal, Aquatech will become part of Phenna Group’s water compliance businesses, augmenting its Built Environment Division.

Headquartered in Nottingham, Phenna Group invests in and partners with selected niche, independent (TICC companies that serve a variety of sectors. The Aquatech deal marks Phenna’s eighteenth acquisition to date in 2025.

Tom Wisniewski, senior associate in Hill Dickinson’s Corporate team in Birmingham, led on the provision of legal advice to Phenna Group, alongside partner, Nick Dawson. In addition, support was also provided on the acquisition by Rachael Drabble (corporate), Isobel Pye (employment), Nasima Khatun (commercial) and Matthew Walsh (Tax).
