Full service law firm Hill Dickinson has advised film equipment hire company Location One on its acquisition by Facilities by ADF plc, a listed supplier of premium-quality production and support vehicles to the television and film industry. Deal value was just below £9 million.
Ian Riggs, partner and national head of Corporate, led on the provision of legal advice to Location One, supported by Sean Lightfoot (partner), James McCarthy (associate) and Abigail Hill (paralegal). Darren Hamer, head of the firm’s Manchester Real Estate team, provided support on the property aspects.
Demand for services to support the UK’s film and TV industry is high and both companies have worked together frequently in the past on productions such as The Crown, Top Boy and The Gentleman.
