We’re pleased to have advised the shareholders of London Building Control, one of the UK’s largest registered building control approvers, on the sale of the company to Bureau Veritas.
LBC’s strategic acquisition by Bureau Veritas, a leading global Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) company, marks a significant milestone in the company’s journey, strengthening its position as a leader in the Building Control industry. LBC will benefit from Bureau Veritas’ wealth of experience through its position on the Building Safety Regulator framework and its expertise in Fire Engineering, Structural Inspections, CDM Services and as a Registered Building Control Approver (RBCA).
Emma Callow, partner in our Corporate team in Birmingham, led on the provision of legal advice, supported by Tom Wisniewski, Chloe Lovelock and Lydia Carr (all Corporate); and Matt Walsh (Tax).
It was pleasure to act as legal adviser to LBC’s shareholders on this deal. Guiding the company’s shareholders towards a partnership in which LBC’s experienced leadership team remains in place as part of Bureau Veritas, allows both parties to offer their clients a stronger, more comprehensive service – a great result.Emma Callow
