Warrington-based telecoms solutions provider Passcomm Holdings Limited has been acquired by Amadys Group of Belgium as the Belgian company expands into the UK market for the first time.
The shareholders of Passcomm were advised on sale of the company to telecommunications equipment supplier Amadys by Hill Dickinson’s Liverpool Corporate team, led by legal director Sue Russell and senior associate Phil Wallbank.
Passcomm is a telecoms equipment supplier and integrator specialising in the transport, utilities and optical fibre communications (FFTX) markets. The fast-growing company, which has operated within the UK market since 1999, partners with industry-leading manufacturers for its product solutions.
The sale of the business to Amadys brings two complementary telecoms businesses together and comes at a crucial stage in broadband rollout in the UK. Amadys provides passive network components for the telecoms, electricity, water, gas and industrial sectors and already has a strong local presence in six European countries. Expansion into the UK forms part of the company’s continued buy-and-build strategy.
We were delighted to advise the shareholders of Passcomm on this exciting and potentially very timely deal. Passcomm will continue to focus on its very successfully established UK markets but with the backing and shared vision of its new parent, Amadys.Sue Russell
