Our Corporate team is pleased to have advised Edward Billington & Son Ltd on the sale of the entire issued share capital of Billington Foods Ltd to The Compleat Food Group.
Billington Foods is a leading producer of chilled, frozen and ambient sauces and soups, pies and desserts, supplying customers across the UK foodservice, retail and third-party manufacturing sectors. Since its formation in 2021, the business has established a strong reputation for innovation, quality and customer service.
The acquisition by The Compleat Food Group, one of the UK's leading prepared food businesses, will provide Billington Foods with access to the scale, investment and specialist expertise needed to support its future growth across the UK retail and foodservice markets. Peter Allan and the existing senior leadership team will remain with the business, providing continuity and supporting a smooth transition.
The transaction marks an important milestone for The Billington Group, allowing the business to continue focusing on its long-term strategy across its core food and agriculture operations.
