Congratulations to The Smarter Web Company, which opened the London Stock Exchange today (Tuesday 3rd February) to mark its first day of trading on the Main Market.

The event follows the business’ successful transition from the Aquis Growth Market to the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange – a milestone that will play a defining role in its long‑term growth trajectory.

The Smarter Web Company provides web design, web development and online marketing services, and is the UK’s largest listed Bitcoin treasury company. Since 2023, it has adopted a policy of accepting payment in Bitcoin and is pioneering a Bitcoin Treasury Policy, reflecting its belief that Bitcoin will form a core part of the future global financial system.

The move to the London Stock Exchange provides The Smarter Web Company with access to substantially broader pools of capital – supporting its pathway to potential FTSE 250 eligibility in the future.

Our Corporate team – led by Partners James Kaufmann and Jonathan Morris, along with Senior Associates Alex Stoughton and Danielle Higgins, and Associates William Daniels and Millie Poole – has worked closely with The Smarter Web Company throughout its journey as a listed business, which began in 2025.

We are proud to have supported The Smarter Web Company on its ground-breaking admission to the London Stock Exchange’s Main Market. Andrew and the entire SWC team has built a forward looking and ambitious business in the digital services sector which leads the way in the UK’s Bitcoin treasury sector. Today’s uplisting marks an important strategic milestone as the company positions itself for further scale and investment.

Andrew Webley, CEO at The Smarter Web Company, said: “Our transition from Aquis to the London Stock Exchange will, in time, be seen as a defining step – one that brings us closer to the company we are building and the scale we aspire to achieve. The LSE provides access to materially broader sources of capital, both passive and active, and we believe we are well positioned for future index inclusion with a clear pathway to the FTSE 250 over time. I am very much looking forward to seeing The Smarter Web Company begin trading on one of the most respected equity markets in the world.”
