The firm achieves recognition in a total of 56 practice areas across its UK locations, including six which make the rankings for the first time and two that have moved up into Tier 1, the highest ranking available.

In all, 17 of the firm’s most highly regarded practice areas are ranked as Tier 1, an increase of two on the previous year. Tony Allen (Yachts), Kiran Bhogal (Health Advisory), Jonathan Brown (Corporate), Mark Gaffney (Real Estate), Jeff Isaacs (Commodities) and David Locke (Health Litigation) are all named as Hall of Fame individuals, the accolade reserved for a minority of practitioners who are recognised as having reached the very pinnacle of their profession.

Hill Dickinson CEO Craig Scott said: “The Legal 500 rankings are always eagerly anticipated by law firms because they provide real evidence of how our clients perceive us and how well we’re performing in the market. At Hill Dickinson, they’re a measure not only of the quality of legal advice we provide but of the very real effort we put into building strong and sustainable client relationships.

“Knowing that testimonials from our clients have made a direct contribution to the firm being ranked in 56 UK-based practice areas this year, of which 17 are Tier 1, is an excellent achievement for the firm. Our rankings continue to go up year after year and the practice areas we’re recognised for include six new areas of notable expertise, which is a direct result of our ability to attract and retain top tier talent across all seven of our UK offices.

“My warmest congratulations to all teams and individuals involved.”

The Legal 500 UK rankings for 2026 highlight the practice area teams that provide the most cutting edge and innovative advice to corporate counsel, collated during the period January to June 2025 and are based on interviews and feedback from more than 300,000 buyers of legal services globally each year.
