Our Birmingham office has moved to Gilbanks at 5 St Philip's as it marks its second anniversary and a period of strong growth in the city.
Moving from Louisa Ryland House on Newhall Street, our Birmingham team has taken over more than 2,000 sq ft on the second floor of the recently opened 5 St Philip's building in Birmingham’s Colmore Row business district.
Having launched in the city in February 2024, the team has more than doubled to 25 colleagues covering Corporate, Real Estate and Real Estate Litigation. A new Corporate Dispute Resolution team also joined the office last April.
5 St Philip's will provide us with the additional capacity and flexibility needed to support future expansion as the office further builds out its business services offering.
The move forms part of a broader programme of investment across our office bases in the UK and internationally, and follows the relocation of our Manchester office to One St Michael’s last summer. Our Monaco-based team has also moved to new facilities close to the city’s iconic harbour since the start of the year.
The Birmingham move will continue to support our carbon reduction plan, with 5 St Philip's having achieved BREEAM Excellent certification.
Craig Scott, CEO at Hill Dickinson, said: “Birmingham is a strategically important market for us and a key part of our long-term growth strategy – providing a bridge between our thriving London offices and our regional bases in the North. The success of the office in just two years demonstrates the strength of our model and the depth of talent we’ve attracted. This relocation underlines our commitment to embedding ourselves in the region while ensuring we have the right environment in place to continue building a marketing-leading practice in the Midlands.”
Since launching in Birmingham in 2024, we’ve achieved exceptional growth both in terms of our people and our client base. We outgrew our previous space far sooner than expected, so this move is a positive next step. 5 St Philip's gives us a high-quality, flexible working environment that reflects our ambitions in the city and supports our plans for continued growth.Nick Dawson
