Caroline is a partner in the employment, education and pensions team. She is an expert in employment, advising in a number of sectors including education, hospitality and leisure, digital and transport, advising a number of high profile clients.

Details

Caroline joined the firm on qualification in 2005 and specialises in Employment law with clients in numerous sectors including transport, retail, hotel, IT & technology, property, energy, entertainment, and charities. Caroline has particular expertise in education employment and works with numerous schools, as well as Further and Higher Education institutes. Caroline works in partnership with clients assisting strategically as well as advising on an operational day to day level and defending claims. Caroline advises on all employment areas including dismissals, TUPE, restructures/redundancies, union issues and discrimination.

Caroline gained a 2.1 law degree from the University of Liverpool and continued her studies at the University of Law obtaining a distinction.

  • Experience

    • Acted as External Expert on BBC bullying, harassment and grievance appeals since 2015.
    • Appointed as independent investigator by the Institute of Directors to investigate numerous allegations into Lady Barbara Judge in 2018.
    • Acts for a large plc that has outsourced its employee relation work to Caroline and her team of lawyers.
    • Undertaken investigation for presentation to the Department of Education into a number of allegations involving a multi academy trust.

    Caroline also undertakes high profile investigations for a wide range of organisations, including the BBC, Further and Higher Education, various Multi-Academy trusts, Government Organisations and Charities, in the following areas:
