Debra is a partner in the Banking team and specialises in Real Estate Finance. Debra’s clients include a broad mix of institutional lenders, debt funds, alternative lenders and borrowers on both investment and development transactions. She has also worked on a number of Green and SLL loans.

Details

Debra has over 16 years’ experience acting for banks and institutional lenders, debt funds and borrowers in all aspects of real estate finance, including acting for all of the main clearing banks.

In recent years she has worked on a number of high value transactions including advising on a £500 million loan to the Government of Gibraltar and advising a four-bank lending syndicate on a £380 million Green and SLL investment and development facility loan to Bruntwood SciTech. 

Debra specialises in real estate finance for both UK based and overseas entities and regularly advises lenders and borrowers based in the UK, the Channel Islands and Gibraltar.

Debra joined Hill Dickinson in April 2023 from Shoosmiths where she was a partner and co-head of the firm’s Manchester office and prior to that a partner at Squire Patton Boggs.

Debra is also the Chair of Northern Investment Property Forum.

Debra has a first-class honours degree in Sports Science and Psychology from University of Wales, Bangor and obtained a commendation in both her GPDL and LPC from College of Law, Chester.

    • Advising Hilco Capital on a loan to purchase a significant London based distressed asset

    • Advising Forshaw Group on development facilities from Maslow and Arrow in connection with a Manchester based resi development
