Edward Wrightson

Ed is an associate in the Healthcare and Public Law team, based at our Liverpool office. He advises NHS and public sector clients on a wide variety of issues, with a particular focus on Court of Protection and inquest proceedings.

Ed joined the firm following qualification in 2021. He works in the Healthcare and Public law team providing advice to a number of NHS clients and other healthcare organisations.

Ed advises on a wide range of areas within the Court of Protection including deprivation of liberty challenges, welfare proceedings and medical treatment cases. Ed has also provided advice and support in relation to inherent jurisdiction proceedings, as well as responding to judicial review claims.

Finally, Ed supports clients to prepare for inquest proceedings, as well as providing legal representation within those proceedings.

Ed studied law at the University of Sheffield where he also completed his legal practice course.
