Isobel is a newly qualified employment associate. She prides herself on her quick responses and approachable manner. Isobel specialises in providing support on everyday employment law issues, focusing on solutions and outcomes for clients.

Details

Prior to completing her training, Isobel spent a year as an employment paralegal providing a broad range of advice to clients. Isobel then went on to complete her Training Contract, where she completed seats in litigation, family, commercial property and employment. 

Isobel is particularly interested in the use of artificial intelligence and saving time for her clients wherever possible. 

A highlight of her career so far has been assisting in preparing and delivering training sessions on both sickness absence and the investigations process to a well-known manufacturing company, for which excellent feedback was received from the client.

Isobel supports clients through employment processes such as handling grievances, disciplinaries and capability procedures. She also specialises in the preparation of documents, such as Contracts of Employment, Policy Documents and HR letters and emails. Isobel is keen to build her knowledge in assisting with employment support on corporate transactions and continues to develop her employment litigation expertise. 

Isobel completed her Law LLB at the University of Manchester and her LPC with Law, Business and Management MSc at the University of Law. Isobel qualified as a solicitor on 7th March 2024. 

  • Experience

    • Isobel has experience in a wide range of contentious and non-contentious work.
    • She has experience in all aspects of employment law including drafting various employment documents, as well as advising on family friendly rights, discrimination, whistleblowing, employee relations issues, disciplinary matters and grievances, dismissals, redundancy, TUPE and employment tribunal claims.
    • Isobel has attended several careers fairs to encourage young individuals to join the profession.
