Jenna Wong

Jenna is a senior associate with broad experience of advising the health sector. She has a particular interest in governance and regulatory matters and is the host solicitor of the North West NHS Company Secretaries Forum.

Details

Jenna qualified as a solicitor in September 2008. She has many years’ experience of advising national bodies, commissioners and providers within the health sector including regulators, foundation trusts, NHS trusts and clinical commissioning groups and, previously, strategic health authorities and primary care trusts.

Jenna advises on corporate governance issues such as the interpretation of legislation and its application and impact on public authorities’ powers, including representing public bodies in judicial review claims. Jenna has a particular interest in the regulation of primary care performers and CQC regulatory matters, and regularly deals with appeals to the First Tier Tribunal. Jenna specialises in information governance issues. She also has experience of dealing with inquiries, investigations and serious clinical incidents including patient recalls.

A University of Liverpool graduate, Jenna completed her LPC at the College of Law. She has been awarded numerous scholarships including the Margaret Bryce Smith Undergraduate Scholarship (2002-2003), John Patterson Undergraduate Scholarship (2003–2004), Conkerton Memorial Prize (2004), University of Liverpool Alumni Scholarship (2002 – 2005), Timpron Martin Prize (2005) and Roger Leyland Prize (2005–2006).
