Joanna is head of the Manchester Healthcare and Public Law team, which has grown significantly over recent years. Her team advises on all aspects of healthcare law, including complex inquests, Court of Protection, and general healthcare legal advice.

Details

Joanna has worked at the firm since 1999 and qualified into the health team in 2001. Joanna and her team act for a large number of NHS bodies in the North West and Midlands, including national NHS bodies.

Joanna has a particular expertise in acting for the NHS at coroner’s inquests, including deaths in custody and those were Article 2 is engaged. Joanna undertakes her own advocacy and advises healthcare bodies on the wide range of legal issues that arise.

Joanna is a graduate of the law faculty of the University of Liverpool (1997) and, after a year backpacking around the world, completed her LPC at the College of Law in Chester in 1999.
