Details

Kate is an experienced commercial litigator and Data Protection Practitioner. For over ten years, she has acted for businesses and individuals on a range of disputes with a particular emphasis on complex and high value claims. Kate’s work often includes an international element and, as part of disputes, she has travelled to Hong Kong, Dubai, Singapore and Texas. Kate deals with alternative forms of dispute resolution, such as mediation and arbitration, in addition to High Court litigation.

Kate’s practice is varied. She advises on contract and tort disputes, shareholder and director disputes, commercial fraud, breach of confidence and restrictive covenant claims, intellectual property and defamation, in addition to other commercial disputes. She has obtained and defended urgent injunctions, including freezing orders and restrictive covenant injunctions, and has experience in search and seizure orders. She is well versed in debt recovery and enforcement.

Kate is also a Data Protection Practitioner, advising and acting in respect of data protection breaches and ICO complaints. Typically, she is instructed when businesses suffer a form of fraud (eg hacking) or loss of data as a result of rogue employee(s).

Kate provides clear, pragmatic and commercial advice and is rated as a key team member by The Legal 500.

Kate joined the firm in 2010. She graduated from the University of Leeds in 2006 with first class honours.
