Kiran Bhogal

Kiran is a partner and solicitor advocate. She has over 30 years’ experience in NHS and public sector work with a broad practice including the Court of Protection, judicial reviews, inquests, mental health and advisory work. She is ranked as a leader in her field. Kiran heads the Healthcare and Public Law team in London and the London office (city).

Kiran is Band 1 ranked in Chambers and Partners for her Court of Protection and Contentious Healthcare work and is listed as a Hall of Fame individual in The Legal 500, a rank that is reserved for practitioners who have reached the pinnacle of their profession.

Kiran advises on a broad range of issues including judicial reviews, complex and sensitive inquests, mental health law, complaints handling, medical ethics, Court of Protection and patient care, clinical and corporate governance, public consultation duties, investigations, commissioning decisions, practitioner performance, policies and procedures.

Prior to qualifying in the UK, Kiran attended the Kenya School of Law when she undertook a mini pupillage before being admitted as a solicitor in the UK. She attained higher rights (civil) and was appointed a deputy district judge (SE circuit) in 2006.

Kiran is also an equality lead for our London offices, acting as a point of contact for ideas and initiatives that help highlight our commitment to diversity and inclusion or to discuss issues related to any dimension of diversity or inclusion.
