About me

I’m a Partner in Hill Dickinson’s Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency team, specialising in both transactional and advisory work across the restructuring spectrum. I act for a broad range of stakeholders including boards, lenders, private equity funds, insolvency practitioners and purchasers of distressed businesses and assets.

My experience covers complex administrations, distressed acquisitions, Pt26A restructuring plans and turnaround strategies. Career highlights include advising the administrators of Blue Group Bensons for Beds and Harveys Furniture, Tesco on its acquisition of Paperchase and Hilco on its purchase of the Oasis and Warehouse brands and subsequent sale to Boohoo.

I’m known for my calm, commercial approach and ability to deliver results in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations. Chambers describes me as someone who ‘really delivers great client service’, while Legal 500 recognises my ‘brilliant commercial acumen’.

When I’m not heading up our growing Leeds Restructuring team, you’ll find me coaching youth football or playing padel badly.

  • Advised Tesco on its acquisition of the brand and intellectual property of Paperchase.
  • Advised the administrators (PwC) of Blue Group, Bensons for Beds, Harveys Furniture and Relyon, involving the administration of 26 group companies , securing the rescue of the Bensons brand and approximately 1,000 jobs.
  • Advised Hilco on their purchase from administrators of the brand and intellectual property of Oasis and Warehouse fashion brands, then on their subsequent sale to Boohoo.
  • Advised KKR on their potential acquisition of a non-performing loan portfolio from a major clearing bank.
