Prior to joining Hill Dickinson in March 2023, Mara trained and worked as a shipping litigator at the Athens office of Reed Smith for 4 years.
Mara advises on both dry and wet shipping matters, acting for owners, charterers, and P&I Clubs. She has experience in LMAA arbitration, High Court and Court of Appeal litigation.
In addition to her litigation practice, Mara is also a member of our global sanctions practice, and regularly advises owners, charterers and insurers on pre-fixture due diligence requests and drafting of sanctions clauses.
Mara has obtained an undergraduate degree in Law from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
