Martha has experience in a broad range of disputes across a wide range of industry sectors. She acts for both claimant and defendant, individuals, companies, charities, government departments, banks and insurers.
Martha’s dispute resolution specialisms include breach of contract disputes, sale of goods/supply of services disputes, professional negligence and partnership disputes. She has experience of bringing and defending a wide variety of court applications and managing various forms of court hearings and trials as well as dealing with disputes using alternative dispute resolution.
As well as advising commercial clients, Martha has an established practice in disputes arising from wills and trusts and has acted for both claimant and defendant and other interested parties including charities, banks, insurers and family trusts.
Martha graduated from Christ’s College, University of Cambridge with an MA degree and completed an MSc at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She completed her legal studies at the University of Law, Manchester.

- Successful at trial on behalf of the estate of a deceased on a highly contested dispute between a brother and sister where the deceased lacked capacity and was divested of her assets
- Representing a lifetime equity provider in possession proceedings
- Advising the Private Wealth Team of a large national high street bank on various contentious probate matters
- Acting for a large central government partner company defending a high value and politically sensitive claim brought by a hotel chain regarding housing of asylum seekers
- Represented King’s Counsel in his significant claim against a firm of solicitors following non-payment of fees
- Settling a dispute between co-executors of an estate following the mismanagement of probate
- Acting for a provider of public services as a defendant in a dispute with a City Council regarding historic and ongoing breaches of contractual obligations
