About me
I specialise in residential and commercial real estate transactions, representing landlords and tenants of business premises, and sellers and purchasers of residential and commercial property.
My approach is to try to present complicated (and, to be frank, sometimes dull) real estate issues that arise during real estate transactions in a manner that is easily digestible so that clients can make quick and informed decisions.
The process can often be stressful for clients, so I hope to guide them calmly and am happy to deal with the minutiae of a matter to enable them to focus on the more important aspects of their transaction.
I find the most rewarding part of my role is when a client reverts to me with clear instructions on a complicated issue that I have provided advice to them on.
Away from work, I have a passion for music and play the drums in a covers band.
My experience
- Advising a high street bank in relation to its disposal of its interest in a private UK airport.
- Acting for a major European transport and logistics business on the sale and leaseback of 11 large UK transport and logistics sites.
- Acting for a European oil company on issues relating to the termination of leases of a large 50-year-old polymer plant and a linked power station.
- Acting for a high-net-worth individual in relation to the acquisition of a residential freehold property in Central London in excess of £20 million.
- Acting for a global multinational company in relation to securing a debt owed to it of circa $100 million - part of the security that was required included the grant of legal charges over three UK properties.
