Rebecca Hunt

Rebecca is a partner in the London health litigation team and acts on behalf of NHS organisations in the defence of clinical negligence claims. She is an NHS Resolution nominated partner and has a particular interest in patient safety issues arising from the provision of maternity services.

Details

Rebecca joined the firm in 2019 from Capsticks Solicitors LLP, where she had been a partner since 2012. On joining the firm, Rebecca brought with her over 15 years’ experience of advising NHS organisations on issues relating to clinical risk and healthcare litigation.

Rebecca has extensive experience in the management of clinical negligence claims and supervises a team of lawyers acting on behalf of the NHS. She has represented NHS organisations at all stages of the litigation process, advising on complex serious incident investigations involving third parties such as the police and HSE through to representing NHS trusts at trial. Rebecca has particular expertise in claims involving neurological injury at birth and a special interest in patient safety initiatives in this area.

Rebecca has an LLB Law degree from the University of Southampton and qualified as a solicitor in 2005.
