Sarah has several years’ experience of handling a variety of claims for UK port operators, cruise, ferry, yacht and tour operators, offshore companies and insurers. She undertook a secondment with a leading P&I insurer and is on the London Shipping Law Centre (LSLC) Young Maritime Professionals Committee. Sarah is also on the firm’s sustainability board which oversees the Hill Dickinson Foundation, charity partnerships and a colleague matched giving programme.

Sarah specialises in high value claims including catastrophic and fatal accident claims, accidents abroad resulting in multi-jurisdictional issues, gastro intestinal illness claims including norovirus, salmonella and giardia as well highly-sensitive sexual assault claims. Sarah undertakes investigations onboard vessels and has been involved in a number of high profile cases including the case of Nolan and 42 Others -v- TUI UK Limited [2015] which is the only norovirus case to be successfully defended at trial. Sarah regularly presents to clients on topics relevant to the maritime and travel sector and writes articles to update clients on topics of current interest. Alongside a colleague, Sarah heads up the smalls claim unit supervising a team of paralegals and trainees in managing portal personal injury claims.

Sarah has completed a maritime post graduate diploma in conjunction with the Lloyd’s Maritime Academy.
