Details

Timon joined the firm in 2009, having trained and worked at city firms in London and Athens. He regularly advises on all issues and handles a wide variety of disputes arising out of contracts of affreightment (CoAs) and charterparties, memoranda of agreements (MoAs), bills of lading (often advising on matters involving dangerous cargoes), management agreements, sale and purchase contracts, and shipbuilding contracts.

Timon is experienced in handling High Court and arbitration proceedings conducted in accordance with the terms of major trade associations including Gafta and the RSA, as well as the London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA), ICC International Court of Arbitration and London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). Timon is also often called on for ‘early intervention’ and to conduct negotiations to prevent the escalation of disputes. He regularly conducts mediations with his clients and is also developing a practice in multi-jurisdictional marine and non-marine insolvency matters.

Timon obtained his BA from the University of Cambridge, and his PGDL and LPC at BPP in London.
