I specialise in shipping and corporate commercial law, advising on all aspects of shipping, commercial and corporate matters.
My clients include vessel owners, banks, managers and charterers as well as intermediaries, shipping service providers and procurement companies. Along with this, I act as local counsel for various foreign law firms on matters relating to Cyprus shipping law.
I act on ship sale and purchase transactions and ship finance, while also providing comprehensive support for completion services, ship acquisitions and sales of second-hand Cyprus flagged vessels.
My expertise extends to all aspects of transaction execution, including registering vessels under the Cyprus flag. My work with the Cyprus flag includes, inter alia, matters of maritime security and safety, transfer of ownerships, changes of vessels names, deletions from the registry.
A significant part of my work involves reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide array of commercial shipping agreements on behalf of owners, charterers, service providers, agents and ship managers.

My experience
- Successfully coordinated and completed numerous ship registrations with the Cyprus flag collaborating with clients and stakeholders in multiple jurisdictions
- Acting for various owners and/or banks in transactions involving Cyprus banks and/or Cyprus flagged vessels
- Advising and representing banks and other financiers in ship financing transactions safeguarding and advancing their interests in Cyprus
- Drafting and negotiating intermediary commercial shipping agreements including inter alia, those with procurement companies, managers and maritime service providers
- Providing legal opinions relating to the due diligence of Cyprus registered entities and their legal capacity to enter into various transactions
- Assisting with the registration of charges and other securities with the Registrar of Cyprus Companies
