Fraudulent activity

We are aware of correspondence being sent to members of the public as part of a scam being carried out using names similar to our company name in order to obtain personal information and bank account details for fraudulent purposes. It has also been brought to our attention that fraudulent websites under the names ‘Hill Dickson LLP’ ‘H Dickson LLP’ and ‘H Dicksons LLP’ have been created to imitate our company website. We have no connection with these websites, which contain inaccurate and false information on the services provided by us and uses the names of individuals working at the firm.

We have reported the fraudulent activity to ActionFraud UK and the internet registrars involved and are taking the necessary steps to have these websites taken down as soon as possible. We have also reported the apparent scam to our regulator, the UK Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), which has published a scam alert on its website as a result. We will keep the SRA updated with such further information as comes to our attention, and will take such action as the SRA requires of us.

We would ask you to inform us if you receive any further similar communication, and we strongly advise that you make no contact via the scam website(s), or via any fax, email address or phone number that you are not certain is legitimate.

We would like to remind that you that we would never ask for your bank details or any other personal information via email or our website. We have secure processes in place for transferring money to and from bank accounts which ensure the identity of our clients and ourselves.

If you have any queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to email us at client.security@hilldickinson.com
