Hill Dickinson advises shareholders of Mi Healthcare on sale to Probo Medical
Law firm Hill Dickinson has recently advised the shareholders of Med Imaging Healthcare Limited (trading as Mi Healthcare) on the sale of the business to US ultrasound and diagnostic imaging equipment provider, Probo Medical.
Mi Healthcare, based in Knowsley, Merseyside, is the UK’s leading independent diagnostic imaging company. The business, which was founded by Tim Dickinson in 1995, provides vital services to NHS and private hospitals.
Acquisition of the business by Illinois-based Probo Medical expands the latter’s reach in the UK’s diagnostic imaging market and forms part of Probo ‘s longer-term goal of growing its presence in Europe.
Hill Dickinson’s national head of corporate, Ian Riggs, legal director Sean Lightfoot and associate Olivia Jones advised the shareholders of Mi Healthcare on the deal.
Sean Lightfoot said: “It’s always good to see a locally founded, independent business grow and sale of the business to Probo Medical at this juncture is recognition of the management team’s success. We wish both parties every success at this next stage of their growth journey.”
Mi Healthcare previously benefited from private equity investment and support in 2016 by Foresight, as a result of which the business was able to expand its service offering and geographical reach. Sale of the business to Probo Medical also marks Foresight’s successful exit from the company.
