Hill Dickinson builds on national health practice with new senior hire

International law firm Hill Dickinson continues to expand its national health practice with the appointment of legal director Amanda Hurst.

With over 10 years’ experience undertaking all aspects of commercial property work, Amanda joins the firm’s Liverpool office from Weightmans. She will work alongside partner and head of healthcare property, Lawford Martin, working exclusively for NHS Property Services Ltd. and NHS clients.  

Joining Mace & Jones in 2003 (which merged with Weightmans in 2011) Amanda has worked for a varied portfolio of clients and landlords and tenants from charities to public organisations and corporate clients.

More recently, Amanda has worked directly with various funders, dealing with technical title issues with particular expertise in adverse possession applications. She also has extensive experience in advising GP practices across the North West with all property related matters and queries.

Amanda joins a well-established healthcare property team who have advised over 100 NHS bodies across the UK on all aspects of commercial property including large-scale disposals of surplus land and buildings. In addition, they have acted for trusts in multi-million pound transactions involving the use of both public and private finance in their PFI / PPP and LIFT transactions and have drafted and led the negotiations in a number of high profile Section 75 Partnership Agreements.
