Details

International law firm Hill Dickinson is continuing to grow its national health practice with the appointment of Kiran Bhogal. Kiran joins as head of the London healthcare advisory team, having previously held the same role at Weightmans.

Specialising in healthcare law, Kiran advises NHS bodies on a broad range of issues including complaints handling, judicial reviews, complex and sensitive inquests, mental health law, medical ethics and patient care issues. Kiran is widely recognised as a leading professional within healthcare law for her work with NHS bodies on clinical and corporate governance issues, public consultation duties, commissioning decisions, policies and procedures. She is also highly ranked in The Legal 500 directory as well as Chambers & Partners, where she is the only lawyer named in band one for healthcare (contentious).

Kiran’s appointment follows a number of significant lateral hires and panel appointments as the health team continues to expand its national offering. Recent arrivals include legal director David Hill and associate Katie Viggers who also both joined the London office from Weightmans, with more announcements expected over the coming weeks.

Andrew Craggs, head of health at Hill Dickinson, commented: “Our national health team is undergoing a period of significant growth and the addition of Kiran, who is well-known and extremely well regarded in her field, will further enhance our offering. We are pleased to welcome Kiran at this exciting time for Hill Dickinson.”

Hill Dickinson’s 90-strong health team has offices in London, Liverpool and Manchester.
