Hill Dickinson’s Asia – Pacific offices are celebrating success after achieving impressive rankings in Chambers & Partners’ 2015 Asia-Pacific legal directory.

The firm’s Singapore office has achieved impressive results with all five partners ranked: Tony Goldsmith (Band One), Paul Barfield (Senior Statesmen), Chris Edwards (Band Two), Andrew Gray (Up and Coming) and Andrew Lee (Up and Coming).

The shipping team is ranked top tier for shipping litigation, with one referee commenting “I have very high regard for the firm and their lawyers, because of their high standard of professionalism, promptness and knowledge. Their strength lies in the diversity of lawyers they have to deal with wet and dry maritime matters.”

Tony Goldsmith, partner and master mariner, commented: “To have so many of our practitioners ranked is testament to the calibre of legal talent we have at Hill Dickinson. This latest industry recognition reflects our commitment to providing clients with the highest standard of legal advice.”

The firm’s Hong Kong operation, Hill Dickinson Hong Kong LLP in association with Laracy & Co, is also ranked for shipping litigation. Laracy & Co’s principal, Damien Laracy and partner, Anthony Woo, are recognised as noted practitioners in bands two and three, respectively.

Damien, who is ranked for shipping litigation and commercial litigation, is acknowledged as a “very experienced practitioner. He is a skilled litigator and arbitrator and has strong expertise in ship mortgage enforcement matters.”

Anthony is described as a “dedicated advisor,” praised for his “initiative to resolve problems.”

Both offices celebrated similar success with rankings in the latest edition of The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific, which was published in November 2014. Singapore is ranked band one for shipping and Hong Kong is ranked for dispute resolution and shipping.

The directory rankings reaffirm Hill Dickinson’s position as a global leader in the shipping industry.
