Hill Dickinson shortlisted for Public Legal Advisor award in LaingBuisson 2021 legal awards

Details

Commercial law firm Hill Dickinson has been selected as a finalist in the LaingBuisson Legal Awards 2021, in the category for Public Legal Advisor.

Now in their 16th year, the LaingBuisson awards recognise businesses that have set new standards of excellence in the delivery of health and social care services in the previous 12 months.

In total 490 entries were received across 30 categories, an all-time high, which is no surprise given the unique health and care challenges since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.

Hill Dickinson, one of the UK’s leading Health and Life Sciences law firms, is one of six finalists for the Public Legal Advisor award and as part of its entry highlighted work the firm undertook during the pandemic to provide:

  • Multidisciplinary legal support on COVID-19 matters, including establishment of three Nightingale Hospitals and the Integrated Covid Hub North East.
  • Advice to The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust as the first provider to sign up with digital health company Babylon Health for provision of its innovative ‘COVID-19 Care Assistant’ app.
  • Legal and regulatory advice to the founders of GoodSAM, the world’s largest Computer Aided Dispatch app, on successful adaptation of the app for use by the NHS during the COVID-19 lockdown.
  • Advice on two major NHS mergers and acquisitions and establishment of five Pathology Networks.
  • Support to Health Education England in developing its new national Education Contract for NHS undergraduate training.

Winners will be announced at an in-person ceremony and dinner in London on Thursday 18 November.
