A recent high court decision in the  Media and Communications List of the High Court  is considered - Farley -v- Equiniti [2024] EWHC 383 (KB) – involving an application to strike out claims under the GDPR/Data Protection Act 2018. The application was successful in the main with only a small number of claims permitted to proceed and those claims were transferred to the small claims track in the County Court.  A “must read” for anyone interested in data breaches.
