Ruth Wilkinson

Ruth is a legal director in our Construction team. She has significant experience in construction and engineering advising on both construction disputes and front-end contract advisory work.

Ruth has been with the firm since 2021. Her work is very diverse and involves both dispute work and drafting construction contracts across a wide range of different projects throughout construction and engineering. Her experience extends to contract drafting, commercial and legal advice, dispute resolution and she works with JCT, NEC, FIDIC standard forms as well as a range of bespoke forms.

Ruth has worked on a wide range of projects including office buildings, retail, hospitals, schools, process engineering, rail and power plant.

Ruth’s is familiar with all the major standard forms of building contract (including JCT and NEC) and reviews and drafts building contracts, consultant appointments, collateral warranties and deeds of novation.

Ruth has experience of handling complex disputes in litigation, arbitration, adjudication and mediation. She has acted for specialist subcontractors, contractors and employers on a range of disputes relating to conditions of contract, defects, loss and expense and delay.
