We’re pleased to have further strengthened our Business Services Group, appointing a new Partner to our national Restructuring and Insolvency practice.

Rhiannon Paine has joined the firm’s Partnership and will be based out of our fast-growing City office in Broadgate Tower.

Rhiannon advises on all aspects of corporate and financial restructuring, along with distressed investing and strategic mergers and acquisitions, including advising buyers and sellers of distressed debt.

She is experienced in working with private credit funds, investment and asset managers, banks, broker-dealers, insolvency practitioners, corporates and company directors spanning a wide range of sectors, from oil and gas to shopping centres and park homes.

She joins Hill Dickinson from Simmons & Simmons LLP where she was a Managing Associate within its Restructuring and Special Situations team. Having trained at Clifford Chance, she also spent time at Milbank and was seconded as Legal Counsel to Deutsche Bank’s Distressed Products Group.

Our Restructuring and Insolvency team has advised on a number of major restructurings and distressed M&A in recent months, including Warpaint London’s acquisition of renowned British cosmetics brand Barry M, Black Sheep Brewery’s sale to Keystone Brewing Group and the rescue of heritage pottery brand Burleigh from the Denby Group by a consortium of investors led by the former CEO of Burberry.

Rhiannon is the latest in an extensive series of lateral hires into Hill Dickinson in recent months, with 16 senior lawyers joining our Business Services Group in 2026 as the firm continues to deliver a sustained period of organic growth.

One of the hallmarks of our growth over recent years has been our ability to attract talented lawyers with strong market reputations and the ambition to help build something special. Rhiannon's decision to join us is another endorsement of the direction the firm is heading in and the opportunities we can offer. We have made significant re-investment across our Business Services Group over the last 18 months and remain focused on bringing in people who can add real value for clients while contributing to our long-term growth. Rhiannon is a great fit for that vision, and we're delighted to welcome her to the partnership.

Lemi McAuley, Head of Restructuring at Hill Dickinson, said: "Rhiannon is a fantastic addition to our restructuring team. Her experience advising on complex restructurings, special situations, distressed investments and strategic M&A transactions will further enhance the support we provide to lenders, investors, insolvency practitioners and corporates navigating challenging situations. London remains a strategically important market for our team and Rhiannon's arrival strengthens our presence in the City, adding further depth to a practice that is increasingly involved in high-profile and sophisticated matters across the UK and internationally."
