We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Anna Cartledge, who joins our Birmingham office as a Partner in our national Real Estate team, specialising in planning.

Anna brings significant experience advising on a wide range of planning matters, with particular expertise in biodiversity net gain and natural capital, acting for a broad client base across both the public and private sectors. She joins Hill Dickinson from another national firm, where she was joint head of its legal planning team having practiced in Birmingham for more than two decades.

Her appointment further strengthens our Real Estate offering in the Midlands and marks the latest milestone in the continued expansion of our Birmingham office, which has grown rapidly since opening in 2024. As part of Hill Dickinson’s national business services platform, Anna joins Partners Ben Acheson and Tim Rayner within the Real Estate practice in Birmingham.

With a team spanning Corporate, Real Estate, Real Estate Litigation, Dispute Resolution and Employment, the Birmingham office has more than doubled in size since launch and recently relocated to larger premises at 5 St Philip’s to accommodate its continued growth.

Hill Dickinson’s Birmingham office has built impressive momentum in a short space of time, and it’s clear there is a strong commitment to continued growth in the region. The opportunity to join and help continue to grow a thriving, ambitious team with a clear strategic vision was hugely appealing.
