Details

Emma is a legal director (professional support lawyer) in the commercial employment team. She qualified as a solicitor in 2001, and has over 20 years’ experience advising on a wide range of employment disputes for both public and private sector employers. Emma advises clients on the technical aspects of employment law, but with a practical and commercial focus. She also advises on associated areas of law such as modern slavery reporting, anti-bribery policies, GDPR and health and safety.

As a specialist professional support lawyer, Emma manages the employment team’s value-added client services, providing clients with regular legal updates explaining what the law means for their business. A prolific writer, Emma, frequently has articles published in the HR press and contributes to an employment law textbook. Emma is responsible for designing and delivering tailored training and know how events for clients, including the employment team’s popular annual law review event.

Emma is also responsible for the employment team’s internal training and knowledge sharing, which includes a large database of precedent contracts, policies and procedures. This effective internal knowledge sharing means that the employment team can offer a cost effective, yet personalised, service to support their client’s business growth and development.
