Details

Kevin joined the shipping team in 2019. He started his legal career in 2002 working as a claims handler at an International Group P&I Club. Prior to this he served at sea in the Royal Fleet Auxiliary Service for 15 years before spending nine years as a pilot on the River Humber. It was while serving as a Humber Pilot that Kevin obtained a LLB through part time study at the University of Hull. He qualified as a solicitor at another London shipping firm in 2006.

Since 2006 Kevin has regularly advised shipowners and Hull & Machinery underwriters on liabilities arising out of marine casualties including collisions; wreck removal and salvage. He has also advised on coverage issues and has experience of unsafe port, allision and carriage of goods disputes.

Kevin was recommended for shipping in the Legal 500 in 2016 and subsequent years.
