Phil is a senior associate within the Construction team.

Phil joined the firm in in 2014 and after years of study/training, qualified as a chartered legal executive in November 2022.

Phil works predominantly with commercial clients in the transport sector. His work entails the drafting and negotiating of various forms of building contract, consultancy appointments, collateral warranties, pre-construction services agreements, consultant/contractor framework agreements, facilities management agreements, security documentation etc, and advises clients on many aspects of construction transactions from inception to completion and beyond.

Phil also acts for large commercial/residential developers/funders in major development transactions and provides pre-dispute advice to clients.

Phil uses a pragmatic/commercial outlook in his work, with his sole focus on achieving positive commercial results for his clients.

Completed the building contract for a new Train Depot
Completed the building contract for the renewal of the legacy station CCTV across a major rail network
Produced and negotiated a building contract for the design and construction of a new bus depot
Acted for a major transport client on a project to install LED lighting across multiple railway stations
Completed a suite of consultant framework agreements for a major transport client
Completed multiple building contracts in relation to the installation of a new electrical infrastructure at multiple bus depots
Acted for a developer in relation to the refinancing of a large commercial/residential development in Liverpool city centre
